Moss To Go In Officials Hall of Fame

Dick Moss, who has officiated the GHSA State Cross Country championships for more than 20 years, will be inducted into the USA Track & Field Officials Hall of Fame on December 2, 2011 at a ceremony in St. Louis.

Already a member of the Georgia High School Track & Field/Cross Country Hall of Fame (class of 2010), Moss has spent 32 years officiating the sport.

In addition to his work at the high school level, Moss has officiated more than 400 collegiate meets, more than 70 Disabled/Paralympic meets and was the head shot put official for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He has served as Meet Referee for 28 NCAA National Championships, both indoor and outdoor.

Moss is a retired Meteorologist with Delta Airlines and lives in Lithia Springs.
