Soccer Changes for 2010-2011

AA Soccer will be regionalized beginning with the 2011 season. At the annual meeting of Region Secretaries on May 18, 2010, it was announced that Class AA Soccer (boys and girls) will be played as a region sport. More than 64 schools indicated their desire to participate in Soccer for the 2010-2011 school year.
Class A will continue as an Area Sport, and Area alignments will be placed on the GHSA web site before June 1, 2010. About 45 Class A schools indicated a desire to participate in Soccer for the upcoming year. Decisions are being made now about the format to use for Areas composition and for playoff bracketing.
