GPB Sports Central
GPB Sports Central airs weekly on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm on Channel 8 and its HD channel. The show will replay Fridays at 11 p.m. with final high school football scores and Saturdays at noon with final scores and game news.

Show Highlights:

• GHSA executive director Dr. Ralph Swearngin talks about recruiting and the movements of student-athletes between schools.
• A sit down with Georgia coach Mark Richt.
• McEachern athletics director Jimmy Dorsey, who had a brilliant high school coaching career, is in the studio talking high school playoffs.
• Reporter Jon Nelson went down to Thomson and talked with legendary coach Luther Welsh, who is retiring after 55 years of coaching.
• Reporter Niki Noto spent some time in Decatur checking out the boys and girls basketball teams at Columbia, both winning state championships last year.
• Reporter Scott Janovitz interviewed Stephenson coach Ron Gartrell, who has an amazing 47 former football players in college on football scholarships right now.
