Please follow the tips listed below if you're having trouble playing a clinic presentation and it gets stuck at one point (and will not continue to load), plays in a choppy fashion, or you did not receive the attendance form at the end of the clinic:
The presentation is stuck or repeating the same slide (and will not continue to load)
- This situation could be due to an incomplete copy of the presentation is stuck in your browser's cache. If this is the case, the video will never fully buffer/load in this state.
- You can attempt to resolve the situation and restart the video's buffering (loading) by clearing your browser's cache. To clear your browser's cache, follow the instructions listed here.
- If after clearing your browser's cache, the presentation still will not play completely, you might want to check the stability of your internet connection. An unstable internet connection could be a reason for which the presentation will not load / buffer completely. You'll need a broadband connection with at least 500+Kbps for the best viewing experience. You might have to view the presentation on another computer and/or at another location.
- Please do not attempt to view the presentations over a dial-up Internet connection. The presentation files are very large and will not play properly over a dialup connection.
- Upgrade to the latest Adobe Flash Player. You can download it from: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.
The presentation has choppy playback
A presentation may not play smoothly for the following reasons:
- Your connection speed. As mentioned above, you'll need a broadband connection with at least 500+Kbps for the best viewing experience.
- Our servers may be experiencing high traffic. If this is the case, there's not much you can do. However, we are continuously monitoring our servers to keep up with demand and improve your experience on our site.
- Your presentation download speed may be slow or inconsistent. In this case, you can try pausing the presentation until the entire stream is downloaded (there is a loading bar on most browsers while a page is loading - wait until it reaches the end or disappears), and then, once the presentation is completely loaded try playing the presentation.
- Occasionally, an incomplete copy of a presentation can get stuck in your cache and never fully download. You can re-attempt the download of the presentation by clearing your browser's cache. You'll find steps on how to do this listed here.
The attendance form did not appear at the end of the clinic
- If the clinic credit deadline has passed, the attendance form will not longer appear at the end of the clinic. Please watch the clinic before the deadline in order to get credit for the clinic.
- If you are using the Abine Privacy Suite on your computer, you will be unable to fill out the attendance form at the end of the clinic and you will not get credit for watching the clinic. The Abine Privacy Suite appears to "block" the attendance form that should appear at the end of the clinic. You will need to disable Abine and restart your browser before starting the clinic. In IE8, goto Tools, Manage Add-ons, disable Abine, then restart the browser.
- If you are using the Google Chrome browser, make sure you have installed the latest version. There was an issue with the Chrome 7 browser that prevents the clinic video from displaying the form at the end of the presentation.
