Congratulations to Creekview, who battled through three rounds of the losers bracket to defeat Franklin County 15-4 and 27-2 for their first GHSA Slow Pitch Softball State Championships presented by Mizuno. The third annual eight-team tournament was held April 24-25 at Twin Creeks Park in Woodstock. Competing in the tournament were: Kennesaw Mountain, Haralson County, Jefferson, West Laurens, Creekview, Oconee County, Franklin County and Charlton County.
Appreciation goes to GHSA staff, umpires, Twin Creeks Park, TeamIP, sponsors and all players, coaches and fans that contributed to the event’s success.
