Registration

Officials register with a local association, and each local association registers its officials with the GHSA.

1. An official may not be registered with two officiating associations in the same sport at the same time.
   
2. No official shall officiate until his/her registration is completed with the GHSA office. Associations that utilize unregistered officials in GHSA games are subject to fines for each official used. Unregistered officials have no insurance coverage under the GHSA policy.
   
3. Registration entitles an official to rules publications from the National Federation, GHSA insignias, and the use of training films and other training materials which the GHSA Office may produce, and insurance coverage (liability and injury/accident).
   
4. An official who does not register for three consecutive years will be moved back to a lower rating until minimum GHSA requirements are met at that level for one year.
