The GHSA advertises these contests as a courtesy for our member schools. However, these tournaments may not be approved or sanctioned by the GHSA. Member schools need to check the Sanctioned Events page to make sure a contest is sanctioned by the GHSA before participating in any event.

BASKETBALL
Charlotte High School (Punta Gorda, FL) is looking for four high quality teams (classification does not matter) to fill their eight team field of the Gene Gorman Turkey Shootout tournament. Games will be played on November 28 and 29 at Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, FL. No entry fee. All teams receive t-shirts. Trophies awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams. Team with the most outstanding player receives a $1000 scholarship for their program. Guaranteed three games. Grainger High School in Rutledge Tennessee looking for a team to fill out their Thanksgiving Classic. The dates are Nov. 24th and 25th. It will be a round robin format with teams playing one game each night. Looking for Boys and Girls team to come. Grainger High School will be a new school opening in 2008-2009 and is located 35 miles to the east of Knoxville. Hall High School will be hosting its 3rd annual Christmas Tournament in Little Rock, Arkansas. The boys division will be December 29 - January 1, 2009. This field will feature sixteen (16) of the top teams in Arkansas and from around the country. There is a four (4) game guarantee. Lodging, meals, and ground transportation (only if flying) will be provided. Pleasure Ridge Park High School(Louisville, KY) is looking for teams for our 2008 holiday tournament Dec. 18-20. Tournament will have 16 teams. Each team gets 4 games.
