Basketball

Beginning with the 2008-2009 basketball season, the official ball for the GHSA playoffs will be the Wilson WAVE. This product will be the ball provided for third-round games, the semifinal games, and the championship games. For the first two rounds of the playoffs, any legal Wilson ball may be used.

Schools are encouraged to use Wilson basketballs in the regular season, but that is not mandatory. The GHSA suggests that coaches look at the WAVE ball and its technological advancements during summer workouts and camps.
