Waiver Instructions
The following camp fee waivers are available for award recipients new officials to the GHSA. Please only select a waiver if you are certain that you qualify.
- High School Scholarship (Waiver applies to Varsity Camp Registration Only) - A Senior Graduate nominated by his/her high school to receive a scholarship to attend a GHSA Sports Officiating Development Camp of choice. A scholarship recipient should refer to instructions outlined in his/her GHSA scholarship invite for scholarship acceptance. Please enter the nominating high school in the comments above.
- New GHSA Official(Waiver applies to Varsity Camp Registration Only) - Officials that have registered for their first year of officiating with a GHSA sanctioned officials association may qualify for one camp fee waiver in the sport for which they are registered. Second year officials may also qualify if they did not attend a camp during their first year of registration.
- Valued Contest Official (VCO) - Officials nominated by GHSA officials associations and awarded a VCO Award for the previous season (Triple Crown (3 Sports), Grand Slam (4 Sports), Five Star (5+ Sports)) are entitled to have a camp fee waived for One Sport registered in the previous season. Camp choice for VCO recipient can be either a Post Season Camp or a Varsity Camp. Note: Sports/activities that have the same base rule’s structure are considered one (1) sport for the purpose of meeting the eligibility requirements for the “Valued Contest Officials” award. Examples are football and flag football, girls and boys lacrosse, etc.
Note: Waivers must be approved by the GHSA office. The camp director will notify you if your waiver has been approved
