The 2018 GHSA Track & Field State Championships, presented by the Atlanta Track Club, were held May 11-12 in Albany, Rome and Carrollton.
Congratulation to the state champions: Girls - Marietta, Alexander, Buford, Chapel Hill , Monroe Albany, Vidalia, Telfair County and Wesleyan; Boys - Parkview, Allatoona, Dutchtown, St. Pius, Cedar Grove, Elbert County, Montgomery County and Riverside Military Academy. First time winner were: Girls - Alexander and Vidalia; Boys - Parkview, Dutchtown, Montgomery County and Riverside Military Academy. Past Champions - Boys & Girls.
Much appreciation goes to the Dougherty County, Carrollton HS and Berry College athletic staffs for an excellent job managing and hosting the three-day state meets. Thanks to officials, Atlanta Track Club, sponsors and all the volunteers that worked hard to host a very successful championship event.
