Dr. Kent Morrow Named GHSA Riflery State Coordinator

Dr. Kent Morrow has joined the Georgia High School Association as the Riflery State Coordinator. Morrow has worked for Henry County Schools since 2002, where he has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and district coordinator. Kent and his wife, Karen, have two children, Michael and Gabriela. Both competed in GHSA Riflery through their school JROTC program and both enjoyed successful experiences in the sport, including state championships and Navy Nationals. Gabriela continued her rifle career at the collegiate level as part of the Georgia Southern Women’s Rifle Team.
During Kent’s second tenure as a ‘rifle dad,’ he began volunteering at the Ole Mill Range in Griffin, GA. He was eventually hired as Range Manager and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the facility and hosted numerous GHSA matches, regional matches, and national matches for CMP and USA Shooting. Dr. Morrow also oversaw the process allowing the Ole Mill Range to be the first national range to open and hold matches following Covid. Riflery is held during the winter sports season.
