GHSA Names New Associate Directors

Danny Redshaw

Jasper Jewell

Dr. Kent Morrow

The Georgia High School Association continues to strengthen its leadership team with the addition of three highly respected figures in Georgia athletics, as Danny Redshaw, Jasper Jewell, and Dr. Kent Morrow have been named new Associate Directors.

Redshaw, a pillar of South Georgia athletics, currently serves as athletic director for Lowndes County Schools and has led Lowndes High School’s athletic program since 2022. His career foundation was built over 17 seasons as head baseball coach and assistant football coach, where he developed championship-caliber programs and student-athletes. In his new role, Redshaw will oversee volleyball and baseball.

Jewell concludes a decorated 30-year career in education, including 14 years as athletic director for Atlanta Public Schools. A proud product of APS, he helped orchestrate a golden era for the district, highlighted by 19 state championship appearances and hundreds of scholarship opportunities for student-athletes. A 2019 inductee into the Georgia Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame, Jasper will now guide football and bass fishing.

Morrow brings a multifaceted résumé rooted in education and competitive shooting sports. Having served Henry County Schools since 2002 as a teacher, assistant principal, and district coordinator, he has played a vital role in the growth of riflery across the state. Morrow will retain his current leadership of riflery while expanding his portfolio to include esports, golf, reclassification, and postseason rankings. His experience managing the Ole Mill Range and hosting state, regional, and national competitions positions him as a steady hand in both emerging and established GHSA initiatives.

Together, this trio forms a dynamic blend of experience, innovation, and servant leadership. As the GHSA continues to evolve, their impact promises to shape opportunities for student-athletes across Georgia, ensuring the association remains rooted in tradition and ready for what’s next.
