Jasper Jewell concludes a decorated 30-year career in education, including 14 years as athletic director for Atlanta Public Schools. A proud product of APS, he helped orchestrate a golden era for the district, highlighted by 19 state championship appearances and hundreds of scholarship opportunities for student-athletes. A 2019 inductee into the Georgia Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame, Jasper will now guide football and bass fishing.
Jasper and his wife Cynthia, who is also a retired educator have two children; Christopher ( a veteran school teacher himself) and Sydney ( a tenth grader at Dutchtown High). They reside in Hampton, Georgia.
