2021 Slam Dunk, 3-Point Contest Information

We are looking for the state’s best players to enter the 2021 Slam Dunk / 3-Point Contests presented by BSN Sports.  First year winners were: Ja' Queze Kirby of Jeff Davis HS (SlamDunk) and Emily Acampora of Harrison (3-Point).  Have some fun & join the competition today!

2021 GHSA BOYS SLAM DUNK CONTEST PRESENTED BY BSN SPORTS

PLATFORM

  • One classification
  • Participants must meet all GHSA eligibility standards
  • Gold, silver, and bronze medals presented
  • Special props/ gimmicks are not allowed.  Participants may use one individual to assist.

COMPETITION ROUNDS

  • Entries must be submitted via video.
  1. Entry accepted for 1st round – now through Sunday, February 14, 2021
  2. Top 15 participant videos will be posted Tuesday, February 16 ,2021
  1. Voting on social media Tuesday, February 16 through – Sunday, February 21, 2021
  2. Top 8 vote recipients advance to the semifinal round
  1. Semifinalist  participant may submit new videos Monday, February 22 through Sunday, February 28, 2021
  1. Voting on social media will be Monday, March 2 – Sunday, March 7, 2021
  2. Top 3 vote recipients advance to championship finals at the GHSA Basketball Finals in Macon.
  3. The live Championship Final will be conducted Saturday, March 13 between the 7A Girls final and the 7A Boys Final.

2021 GHSA GIRLS 3-POINT SHOOTING CONTEST PRESENTED BY BSN SPORTS

PLATFORM

  • One classification
  • Participants must meet all GHSA eligibility standards
  • Participants must complete the Participation Liability Consent form prior to participating (click here for the form)
  • Must wear official school uniform during the finals
  • Gold, silver, and bronze medals presented

COMPETITION ROUNDS

  • Preliminary Rounds: Feb. 6 - Monroe HS (Albany), Banks Co. HS, Model HS, Buford HS (Click here for results from Feb. 6 Sites)
    Feb. 13 - Perry HS, Griffin HS, Statesboro HS, Hebron Christian
  • Semifinal Sites: (February 27) Perry HS & Banks Co. HS
  • Sites will be supervised by GHSA representatives
  • Participants will sign up to compete at the site of choice.
  • Each participant will have 90-seconds to shoot from four designated areas beyond the 3-point line.
  1. Each rack shall have (6) balls
  1. Each ball counts as 1-point, and the final ball of each rack counts as 3-points.
  • The top four point recipients from each preliminary round will advance to the semifinal round.
  • The top two point recipients from each semifinal round advance to championship finals at the GHSA Basketball Finals in Macon.
  1. The Championship Finals will take place Friday, March 12 between the 6A girls final and the 6A boys final.
