Atlanta Braves Partner with Georgia High School Association to Host the 2021 5A, 6A and 7A Baseball Championship Games at Truist Park

The partnership is a part of the team’s ongoing initiatives to help grow youth baseball in the state

ATLANTA (May 14, 2021) – The Atlanta Braves have partnered with the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) to host the second annual GHSA 5A, 6A, and 7A Baseball State Championships at Truist Park. Designed to showcase baseball talent in the Southeast, the championships are an extension of the organization’s efforts to foster the next generation of young baseball talent. The championships will take place on Monday, May 24 through Wednesday, May 26 with additional games to be played on Thursday, May 27, if needed.

The 2021 5A, 6A and 7A series will be held as best-of-three doubleheaders. Championship games will take place on Monday, May 24 with first pitch slated for 5 p.m. with Game 2 set to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. If Game 3 is needed to complete the series, first pitch is slated for 12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25. Additional championship series will start on Tuesday, May 25 with first pitch at 5 p.m. and Game 2 starting 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. If Game 3 is needed to complete the series, the game will be played on Wednesday, May 26 at 12 p.m. Additional championship series will start on Wednesday, May 26 with first pitch at 5 p.m. and Game 2 starting 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. If Game 3 is needed to complete the series, the game will be played on Thursday, May 27 at 12 p.m. Classification championship dates are still to be determined.

Tickets are $15 and will be available for purchase online at https://gofan.co/app/school/GHSA. Parking for the championship games is free in the Red Deck for three hours.
