The 2026 GHSA Bass Fishing State Championship, presented by Alfa Insurance, was held May 9, 2026 at Lake Sinclair. Congratulations to state champions Jacob Janning and Ben Wilson of Jefferson. A total of 111 boats made the finals from three qualifying tournaments held in February, March and April.
Appreciation goes to Dr. Robin Hines (GHSA Bass Coordinator), Federation Angler, Lake Sinclair staff, Alfa Insurance, Student Angler Federation, Major League Fishing and all anglers, boat captains, coaches, volunteers and fans that that contributed to an outstanding day of fishing.
