The Metro Atlanta Wrestling Officials Association (MAWOA) will host a wrestling officials clinic on Thursday, June 8, at 7:00 pm at the Buford (HS) City Arena. Cost is $30 with instruction from Ryan Hagan, veteran NCAA official, and NFHS rules update by Denis Tallini, GHSA Associate Director.

Instruction: Ryan Hagan, one of the top collegiate officials, who annually works the NCAA tournament, will conduct a session on mechanics and positioning. Denis Tallini, GHSA Associate Director / Wrestling Coordinator, will cover the new NFHS rule changes, including the in-and-out of bounds near fall/pin changes and the new uniform requirements.
Practice: Voluntary summer events will provide opportunity for officials to "get on the mat” to implement new rules with evaluation feedback to improve skills.
