The 2026 GHSA 3-Point & Slam Dunk Contests, presented by BSN Sports, return as one of the most exciting showcases of basketball skill during the GHSA Basketball State Championships. Athletes from across the state will compete for medals, recognition, and the chance to perform on the championship stage in Macon.

  • Win it at State.

Finals will be held at the GHSA Basketball State Championships at the Macon Coliseum.

  • Girls 3-Point Champion: Reagan Mulligan – River Ridge HS
  • Co-Ed 3-Point Champions: Alex Whitecliffe & Chase Turner – Cherokee HS
  • Slam Dunk Champion: Sam Mobbs – Trion HS

3-POINT SHOOTING CONTESTS

GIRLS | BOYS | CO-ED

Show off your range and consistency in the GHSA 3-Point Shooting Contests, featuring Girls, Boys, and Co-Ed divisions.

CONTEST RULES

  • One classification
  • One entry per school
  • Participants must meet all GHSA eligibility requirements
  • Co-Ed teams must consist of students from the same school
  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded
  • Registration Form
  • Liability Consent Form required prior to participation

COMPETITION FORMAT

  • Each participant receives 90 seconds
  • Shooting from four designated locations beyond the 3-point line
  • Each rack contains six (6) basketballs
  • Each made basket = 1 point
  • Final ball on each rack = 3 points

PRELIMINARY ROUNDS

February 7–8

  • Lowndes HS – Feb. 7 | 10:00 AM
  • Perry HS – Feb. 7 | 10:00 AM
  • Dawson County HS – Feb. 7 | 10:00 AM
  • Eagles Landing HS – Feb. 8 | 2:00 PM
  • Cherokee HS – Feb. 8 | 2:00 PM

SEMIFINAL ROUNDS

February 21–22

  • Perry HS – Feb. 21 | 10:00 AM
  • Eagles Landing HS – Feb. 22 | 2:00 PM
  • River Ridge HS – Feb. 22 | 2:00 PM

Top three scores from each preliminary site advance to the semifinals.
Top performers advance to the Championship Finals in Macon.

CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS – MACON COLISEUM

  • March 11 – Boys 3-Point Finals
  • March 12 – Girls 3-Point Finals
  • March 13 – Co-Ed 3-Point Finals

All sites will be supervised by GHSA representatives.

BOYS SLAM DUNK CONTEST

Bring your creativity, athleticism, and style to the GHSA Boys Slam Dunk Contest, where fans help decide who advances.

CONTEST RULES

  • One classification
  • One entry per school
  • Participants must meet all GHSA eligibility standards
  • No special props or gimmicks allowed
  • One individual may assist the dunker
  • Video length: 30 seconds or less
  • Game video is acceptable
  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded

FAN VOTING

Fans vote daily and help determine who advances.

  • Round 1 Voting: February 9–14
  • Semifinal Voting: February 16–21 (Top 8 dunkers)

SLAM DUNK FINALS

  • March 14 – Boys Slam Dunk Finals
