GHSA Title IX 'Trailblazer' Pam Carter

Pam Carter first served our Georgia schools as a cheerleading coach and teacher. She headed up the committee who organized and started the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association to help educate coaches on cheerleading safety and the state's regulations.

Her team, Hardaway High School, won state in the 1994-95 season. She later served on the NFHS Spirit Rules Committee and judged in state, national and international competitions.

She now has worked as a coordinator for the GHSA Cheerleading State Championships for the last 27 years and presides over the officials in Georgia. She was inducted into the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association in 2019.
