Because of weather-related constuction delays, Luther Williams Field will not be ready in time to be used as one of the four host sites for the 2018 GHSA State Baseball championships, presented by Mizuno.
Instead, the Macon site will now be OrthoGeorgia Park at Claude Smith Field, the home stadium for the Mercer University Bears. The other three sites are listed on the GHSA web site and may be found here.
Which classifications will play at which sites will not be determined until at least the second round of the state playoffs in order that travel may be minimized for the participating teams.
